Your description of the <br />proposed uses as contractor's shops, or "industrial services ", are appropriate <br />in the zoning district. To accomplish this proposal, the proper application <br />would be for a planned unit development amendment. This is for two reasons. <br />First, the Zoning Ordinance requires that a PUD is necessary for any site which <br />proposes to have more than one principal building. Second, the entire Industrial <br />Park is currently under a PUD which would require an amendment to allow this <br />type of development. <br />The project would need to conform to all other standards such as parking require- <br />ments, setbacks, and landscaping as applicable. Prior to proceeding too far with <br />this project, it may be wise to approach the Planning Commission and City Council <br />in a concept stage to guage their perceptions of the proposal.
