October 27, 1987 <br />City of Little Canada <br />515 East Little Canada Road <br />Little Canada, Minnesota 55117 <br />Attn: City Council Members <br />Re: Williams Pipe Line <br />Well Water Contamination <br />Dear Council Members: <br />Over the last ten years Williams Pipe Line has replaced certain <br />sections of piping running parallel to East Viking Drive. <br />Recently, Williams Pipeline Company tied into the city sewer <br />system, a 4" drain line (at 427 East Viking Drive) for the <br />pumping and discharge of suspect underground water. The same <br />underground water that our wells draw our domestic water from. <br />I have three requests about this matter. <br />1. Under what conditions was this necessary. <br />2. Under what conditions was this connection allowed. <br />This type of sewer connection is illegal by code. <br />3. I request that the city hire at Williams Pipelines <br />expense and independet and neutral testing laboratory <br />to visit each residence on Viking Drive to sample and <br />test our well water with a detailed test result. <br />Your prompt written response and activity about this matter is <br />required. <br />Very truly yours, <br />Frank M.
