MINUTES <br />City Council <br />August 12, 1981 <br />Council also felt that the cost of the cement work done on the <br />trail by the City should also be added to the Lawcon Grant Fund. <br />Also there are some labor costs incurred on the trail system that <br />could be added to the Lawcon Grant Fund. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81 -8 -L19 - APPROVING THE NECESSARY FUNDS <br />FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE SPOONER PARK TRAIL AND ALSO <br />APPROVING A CHANGE ORDER IN AN ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF S1,760, <br />THESE MONIES TO COME FROM LAWCON GRANT FUNDS, AND ALSO <br />INCLUDING GiMENT WORK DONE ON THE TRAIL IN SPOONER PARK <br />BY THE CITY TO BE CHARGED TO THE LAWCON GRANT FUND, AND <br />FURTHER INCLUDING ANY LABOR COST IN THE COMPLETION OF THE <br />SPOONER PARK TRAIL TO BE CHARGED TO THE LAWCUa URANT FUND <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, Hanson, Forsberg, Nardini. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 284. <br />Grading cork The Park Commission has requested authorization to take informal <br />In Spooner quotations for grading, filling, and seeding an area in Spooner <br />Park Park near the play area that does not drain properly. <br />Amending <br />Ordinance <br />No. 172 <br />Mir. Forsberg stated that he felt the work should be done by a <br />private contractor. Mrs. Nardini agreed with Mr. Forsberg. <br />The Park Commission felt that the work should cost no more than <br />$2,000, and money has been budgeted for this. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 81 -8 -h20 - AUTHORIZING THE PARK COMMISSION <br />TO TAKE INFORMAL QUOTATIONS FOR GRADING, FILLING, AND <br />SEEDING AN AREA IN SPOONER PARK I14 A MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF <br />$2,000 AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING INFORMAL QUOTATIONS FOR <br />ALL LABOR COSTS IN THE COMPLETION OF THE TRAIL SYSTEM <br />IN SPOONER PARK <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mrs. Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, Nardini, Hanson, Forsberg. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 7, Page 285. <br />Council previously discussed the possibility of amending Ordinance <br />No. 172 to provide that monies collected by the City in park <br />charges be utilized for land acquisition only. <br />The Attorney informed the Council that the State Statute says that <br />l (' <br />
