FIRE <br />DEPARTMENT <br />REPORT <br />MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />MAY 8, 2013 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 8th day of May, <br />2013 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little <br />Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Bill Blesener called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />Council Member <br />ABSENT: <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br />Council Member <br />City Administrator <br />Fire Chief <br />Fire Department <br />Fire Department <br />Fire Department <br />Fire Department <br />Fire Department <br />City Clerk <br />Mr. Bill Blesener <br />Ms. Shelly Boss <br />Mr. John Keis <br />Mr. Rick Montour <br />Mr. Mike McGraw <br />Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />Mr. Don Smiley <br />Mr. Steve Morelan <br />Mr. Bob Liebel <br />Mr. Rick Boss <br />Mr. Tim Boss <br />Mr. Karl Strohmeier <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />Fire Chief Don Smiley commented that the purpose of tonight's <br />workshop meeting is to provide the City Council with an annual report <br />on Fire Department activities. <br />Smiley noted that the Fire Department recently had three members retire, <br />Jeff DeBace, Mark Evgen, and Jim Gustafson. No new members have <br />been added to the Department. <br />Smiley then provided a detailed review of 2012 calls for service reporting <br />that there were a total of 224 incidents. Statistics related to these calls are <br />as follows: <br />Average firefighter turnout per incident was 16; <br />Average weekday and daytime turnout per incident was 12; <br />Estimated total man hours at fire incidents are 3,816; <br />Estimated man hours at fire training are 1,534; <br />
