Office of
JOSEPH G. CHLEBECK, Clerk
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, Minn. 55117
484 -2177
August 3, 1981
CITY OF LITTLE CANADA
RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
Dear Little Canada Resident:
MAYOR
Raymond Hanson
COUNCIL
Michael Fahey
Beverly Scalze
Dennis Forsberg
Mugs Nardinl
Last year the Metropolitan Council of the seven county Metro area
including Ramsey County requested each couuuunity to submit a
comprehensive plan for the future development of their couuuunity.
Included in Little Canada's comprehensive plans are the future
development of parks, hiking paths and nature center or open space.
At the present time, NSP has a power line easement that runs across
your property. It is in the future plans of Little Canada to construct
a hiking or multi - purpose trail system either along side or under
the power lines.
The Park Commission of Little Canada would like to obtain access to
this property. Because of limited funds for land purchases would
you as land owner and resident interested in the future of your
community, consider donating the land under easement to NSP to the City
of Little Canada? The City would pay all expense in the changing of
the deed and registration.
To your advantage you will be able to take the fair market value of
this land off your income taxes as a contribution. Also, you
will no longer be paying property taxes on this land, which NSP was
using for their easement for power lines. Most importantly, you will
become a part of future development of the City of Little Canada.
Within the next month a Park Couuuissioner will call you to answer any
questions you may have, however, you can contact the City Center
at 484 -2177, and they will put you in touch with someone to answer
your questions.
Carl Spooner
Chairman
Little Canada Park Columission
4 E
