City Council <br />(Cont'd.) <br />August 8, 1979 <br />Dianna <br />Lane <br />Purchase of <br />City Water <br />Pete Costa <br />Development <br />of Lots 12 & <br />13 Bloomquist <br />Lakeside <br />Addition <br />Purchase of <br />Trees <br />Engineer Carley stated that the contractor will shortly clean up <br />the streets and boulevards on Dianna Lane. <br />Mr. Pete Costa has requested to purchase City water from a fire <br />hydrant on a temporary basis. Mr. Costars must have a new well <br />drilled and would like to buy City water until the new well is in. <br />Council was agreeable to this on a temporary basis and put a time <br />limit of September 10, 1979 on Mr. Costars purchasing the water. <br />If, however, the well is not completed by September 10, 1979, Mr. <br />Costa can approach the Council on the matter again. <br />Mr. Hanson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79 -8 -384 - GRANTING MR.. PETE COSTA PERMISSION <br />TO PURCHASE CITY WATER FROM A METERED FIRE HYDRANT UNTIL <br />SEPTEMBER 10, 1979 AT WHICH TIME THE MATTER CAN BE RECONSIDERED <br />IF COUNCIL IS REQUESTED TO 10 SO BY MR. COSTA <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. DeBace. <br />Ayes (5) Hanson, DeBace., Scalze, Fahey, and Nadeau. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 5, Page 260. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Barry Kaufman have written to the City inquiring into <br />the development potential of Lots 12 and 13 Bloomquist Lakeside <br />Addition. - �,-/,r. IAA C.-'1 -�jrr '! <br />Mr. Nadeau introduced the following resolution and moved itsadoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79 -8 -385 - TABLING DISCUSSION OF THE <br />DEVELOPMENT POTENTIAL OF LOTS 12 AND 13, RT,OOMQUIST <br />LAKRSIDE ADDITION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Hanson. <br />Ayes (5) Nadeau, Hanson, DeBace, Fahey, and Scalze. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 5, Page 261. <br />Mr. Tom Horwarth, Tree Inspector for the City, appeared before the <br />Council and reported that the City can purchase 137 trees at $45.50 <br />each from the same nursery the City purchased its trees last year. <br />The price of these trees is reimbursed 48% by the State. The City <br />would sell the trees for $15.00 each. <br />Council asked Mr. Horwarth to get some additional prices on trees <br />from other nurseries. The Council also stated that perhaps this year <br />the City would require citizens to plant their own trees. <br />31 <br />Page -11- <br />
