CHLEBECK, Clerk <br />515 Little Canada Road <br />Little Canada, Minn. 55117 <br />484 -2177 <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA JOB DESCRIPTION <br />TITLE: Superintendent of Public Works <br />MAYOR <br />Raymond Hanson <br />INCUMBENT: Roger Glanzer <br />RESPONSIBILITY: <br />This position involves first line supervision and overall <br />responsibility to insure the proper operation and maintenance of <br />the Sewer, Water and Street systems of the City of Little Canada. <br />The incumbent coordinates, assigns, supervises, and performs skilled <br />and unskilled labor necessary in the operation of the cities <br />utility systems. <br />WORK PERFORMED: <br />A. General Responsibilites: <br />Supervision of all work performed. <br />Keeping records of maintenance and equipment. <br />Inspection of house sewer and water services. <br />Respond to complaints. <br />B. Water Department: <br />Repair hydrants: Worn parts, gaskets, valve seats, repair <br />when hit by cars, lower or raise when necessary. <br />Gate valves: lower or raise valve boxes, replace broken valve <br />boxes, clean: dirt, rock, sticks, etc. out of valve boxes. <br />Water meters: Install, repair, testing, and read meters. <br />Booster station: Check every day, do maintenance on pumps <br />(oil, grease, packing, etc.) Make sure everything is working <br />properly. <br />Meter station: Read meter every week, change meter chart. <br />Repair: Broken water mains, broken or leaking water services. <br />Turn water services on or off. <br />C.
