MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />JUNE 19, 2006 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a workshop meeting of the City <br />Council of Little Canada, Minnesota was convened on the 19th day of <br />June, 2006 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Mayor Bill Blesener called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the City Council were present at roll call: <br />CITY COUNCIL: Mayor Mr. Bill. Blesener <br />Council Member Ms. Barb Allan <br />Council Member Mr. John Keis <br />Council Member Mr. Jim LaValle <br />Council Member Mr. Rick Montour <br />ALSO PRESENT: City Administrator Mr. Joel R. Hanson <br />City Planner Mr. Steve Grittman <br />Planning Comm. Mr. Mike McGraw <br />Planning Comm. Mr. Scott Barraclough <br />City Clerk Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />ZONING This afternoon's workshop meeting is a continuation of the May 15th <br />CODE workshop meeting called to review the City's Zoning Code. Those <br />REVIEW present continued their review of the Zoning Code commencing with the <br />Single-Family Residential Zoning District (R-1), and the Planner <br />explained in detail the various staff comments that were made in their <br />review of this document. <br />The Planner noted that Family Day Care is a permitted use in the R-1 <br />District and the need to update this provision in the Code to ensure it <br />complies with State Statute. <br />There was a great deal of discussion on the issue of storage of recreational <br />vehicles and recreational equipment which is a permitted accessory use in <br />R-1. The Planner noted that current code allows for the parking of <br />licensed and operable recreational vehicles in the driveway, one space <br />adjacent to the driveway, in the side yard other than the required side yard, <br />and behind the house. <br />Those present discussed permitted storage locations and screening. The <br />Administrator noted that a question was included in the community survey <br />
