PATRICK DELANEY
PETER J. THOMPSON
ROBERT BENNETT
JOHN W. LUNOOUIST
TERRY A. LYNNER
MICHAEL BOO
OF COUNSEL
ROBERT L. GROSSMAN
DELANEY & THOM PSON, LTD.
ATTORNEYS AT LAW
January 2, 1981
Mr. Richard E. Boss
Little Canada Fire Department
440 Little Canada Road
St. Paul, Minnesota 55117
Dear Dick:
16121 339 -0031
700 GALAXY BUILDING
330 SECOND AVENUE SOUTH
MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA 55401
Enclosed please find an original and a copy of a proposed fire
service contract. I have left the amounts for the payment and
for the Relief Association funding blank since I assumed you would
not be using the same amounts as last year.
If you have any comments or would like any changes made in the
contract please call me. If not, you may use the contract as is
with the appropriate amounts filled in.
Also enclosed are the Lease and Rental Agreement with Little Canada
and the Capitol City Mutual Aid Association Reciprocal Fire Service
Agreement. I have made copies of these documents and sent a copy
of each to the accountants.
The Reciprocal Fire Service Agreement has not actually been executed
in the proper form. The top paragraph states that the Agreement
is between the "Village of Little Canada, Minnesota and their fire
department hereinafter referred to as the Fire Department, and,
Little Canada Volunteer Fire Department, hereinafter referred to
as Capitol City Mutual Aid Association ". The way it reads is that
the Village of Little Canada entered into the Agreement with the
Fire Department which is referred to in the contract as the Capitol
City Mutual Aid Association. The Agreement actually is between the
city of Little Canada together with the Fire Department and the
Capitol City Mutual Aid Association. This mistake was probably
made by the typist and it should probably be straightened out to
avoid any confusion.
If you have any questions about any of the above please call me.
Very truly yours,
Patrick Delaney
PD:klj
enclosures
cc: Robert G.
