6 -2. Any person who violates this provision or who sells land or <br />offers for sale or contracts for the sale of land by reference to or by other <br />use of any plat or proposed subdivision before such plat or subdivision has <br />been approved by the Town Board in accordance with the provisions of this <br />section is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be <br />punished in accordance with the law. <br />SECTION 7. PENALTIES. Every person convicted of a violation of any of <br />the provisions of the Ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not more than <br />Seven Hundred Dollars ($700.00) or by imprisonment for a period of riot <br />more than ninety (90) days, or both, but in either case the costs of <br />prosecution may be added. Any owner or agent of the owner of land who <br />conveys a lot or parcel in violation of Section 6, shall forfeit and pay to the <br />municipality a penalty of not less than $100.00 for each lot or parcel so <br />conveyed. <br />SECTION 8. SEVERABILITY. Should any section, subdivision, clause or <br />other provision of this Ordinance be held to be invalid by a court of <br />competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the <br />Ordinance as a whole, or of any part thereof, other than the part held to be <br />invalid. <br />SECTION 9. EFFECTIVE DATE.
