Hanson <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Mayor Blesencr and Members of the City Council <br />FROM: Joel Hanson, City Administrator <br />DATE: May 17, 2013 <br />RE: Increase Community Involvement /Diversity <br />City staff is proposing that the City's efforts to accomplish this 2013 Goal focus on the <br />promotion of Night To Unite as well as the Neighborhood Watch Program. Both Night To Unite <br />and Neighborhood Watch are excellent means of bringing neighbors together to get to know one <br />another and to strengthen neighborhoods. Promotion of these programs would include the <br />following: <br />Newsletter Articles <br />Articles in the City's Legal Newspaper <br />Information on the City's Web Site <br />Information on the City's Cable Channel <br />Information included in Welcome Packets <br />The Mayor, City Council Members, Little Canada Fire Department, Sheriff's Department, and <br />City staff members would continue their attendance at Night To Unite events. <br />1 <br />
