MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
MAY 15, 2013
Mehta asked about the $115 per front foot assessment that would result if
project costs were apportioned against actual frontage. The City Engineer
stated that staffs recommendation was a front foot assessment based on
the City's commercial rate cap of $130.50 per front foot, given it would be
difficult to prove benefits received for the entire St. Paul Water property at
the $115 per front foot rate. Without that parcel, the rate would not he
$115 per front foot.
Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -5 -90 — ADOPTING THE ASSESSMENT
ROLL FOR IMPROVEMENT NO. 2013 -01, SPRUCE STREET, AS
RECOMMENDED BY CITY STAFF WITH AN ADJUSTMENT FOR
3180 SPRUCE STREET BASING THE ASSESSMENT FOR THIS
PROPERTY ON THE CITY'S COMMERCIAL RATE CAP
RESULTING IN AN ASSESSMENT OF $41,744.34 FOR THIS
PROPERTY
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss.
Ayes (4).
Nays (0).
