Each organization shall maintain separate records of its <br />bingo operations. The person who accounts for bingo gross receipts and profits shall not <br />he the same person who accounts for other revenues of the organization. Records required <br />by Laws 1976, chapter 261 shall be preserved for three years. The law enforcement <br />ttgency of the licensing authority shall have the authority to investigate the bingo records <br />of an organization at any reasonable time. Reports; discrepancies, reporting agencies <br />Subdivision I. If any discrepancy is found between the amount of gross receipts for a <br />bingo occasion as determined by the checker's records and the amount of gross receipts as <br />determined by totaling the cash receipts and the discrepancy exceeds $20, the discrepancy <br />shall be reported to and investigated by the licensing authority of the place where the <br />bingo occasion was held. <br />Sulxl. 2. An organization shall report monthly to its membership its gross receipts from <br />bingo, its profits from bingo and the distribution of those profits itemized as required by <br />section 349.20. <br />Subd. 3. At least 30 days prior to conducting its first bingo occasion of the year and on <br />an annual basis thereafter, an organization shall file with the local government unit which <br />regulates its conduct copies of the following: <br />(a) Department of the treasury, internal revenue service, "Return of Organization <br />Exempt from Income Tax," Form 990, or a comparable form if the organization is required <br />to file the form with the department of the treasury; <br />(b) Department of the treasury, internal revenue service, "Exempt Organization Busi- <br />ness Income Tax," Form 990 —T, or a comparable form if the organization is required to file <br />the form with the department of the treasury; <br />(c) A "Statement of Bingo Operations" in the form prescribed by the local governmental <br />unit. All information contained in the statement shall be true, correct, and complete to <br />the best of the knowledge of the person or persons signing the statement. Any person <br />who shall knowingly make a false statement or knowingly conceal a material fact in the <br />statement shall be subject to the penalties provided in section 349.22; <br />(d) Any lease agreements required by Laws 1976, Chapter 261, executed by the organi- <br />zation in regard to premises leased for the conduct of bingo. <br />Laws 1976, c. 261, § 11; Amended by Laws 1979, c. 188, § 1, eff. All in.ormation <br />contained in the statement shall be true, correct, <br />and complete to the best of the knowledge of the <br />person or persons signing the statement.
