Gun clubs— License authorized. <br />The council may issue a license to an organization to op- <br />erate a gun club within the city, subject to the provisions <br />of the zoning ordinances. (Code 1963, § 63.03; Ord. No. 326, <br />8 -1 -74) <br />Cross reference— Weapons generally, § 13 -40 et seq. <br />Sec. 4 -4. Same — License application, hearing, issuance or <br />denial. <br />Application shall be directed to the city clerk and contain <br />the name of the organization, the description of the property <br />to be used, and the names of all residents within one thousand <br />(1,000) feet of the proposed gun range. The council shall <br />set a hearing on said license application with one week's pub- <br />lished notice of said hearing. The council may, in its discre- <br />tion, grant or deny said license. Same —Hours of use of weapon. <br />It shall be unlawful to fire or discharge high powered <br />rifles, side arms or shotguns on the premises of the gun club <br />on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays except between the hours <br />of 10:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturdays and 12:00 noon and <br />7:30 p.m. on Sundays and holidays, except that the hour <br />limitation shall not be applicable to any Saturdays, Sundays <br />or holidays occurring within fifteen (15) days prior to a <br />legally designated deer season, during which deer may be <br />taken by firearms, pursuant to applicable s'.ate law. The <br />hour limitation shall not apply to the discharge of shotguns <br />on the premises of the gun club during any legally designated <br />hunting season. (Coda 1363, § 63.05; Ord.
