Gun clubs— License authorized. The council may issue a license to an organization to op- erate a gun club within the city, subject to the provisions of the zoning ordinances. (Code 1963, § 63.03; Ord. No. 326, 8 -1 -74) Cross reference— Weapons generally, § 13 -40 et seq. Sec. 4 -4. Same — License application, hearing, issuance or denial. Application shall be directed to the city clerk and contain the name of the organization, the description of the property to be used, and the names of all residents within one thousand (1,000) feet of the proposed gun range. The council shall set a hearing on said license application with one week's pub- lished notice of said hearing. The council may, in its discre- tion, grant or deny said license. (Code 1963, § 63.04; Ord. No. 326, 8 -1 -74) Sec. 4 -5. Same —Hours of use of weapon. It shall be unlawful to fire or discharge high powered rifles, side arms or shotguns on the premises of the gun club on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays except between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturdays and 12:00 noon and 7:30 p.m. on Sundays and holidays, except that the hour limitation shall not be applicable to any Saturdays, Sundays or holidays occurring within fifteen (15) days prior to a legally designated deer season, during which deer may be taken by firearms, pursuant to applicable s'.ate law. The hour limitation shall not apply to the discharge of shotguns on the premises of the gun club during any legally designated hunting season. (Coda 1363, § 63.05; Ord.
