BOAT& MOTOR MART INC.
2768 NO. RICE (HWY49)
ST. PAUL, MINNESOTA 55113
PHONE (612)484 -8565
Sept. 20, 1982
Village of Little Canada:
Dear Counsel Members;
In reference to your Sept. 3rd. letter signed by Ed Locke, bildg. in-
spector. I have re-evaluated our signs for the new Rice St. area..
I have inclosed a drawing, showing the face of the building and the
tenative signage I am requesting at this tine.
All I originally wanted was to stand back up the original two signs we
have had for 15 to 20 years. Now in our 22nd. year of business I find
I am forced to cut back my advertising and perhaps ay business with it,
needless to say this is a little disapointing, and expensive.
However, please note that I have readjusted the plans for new signage.
s;
*xich is.--one less sign, equaling 18% sq. ftLthan originally.
This new square footage is only 98% of your code.
Now that the footage is to code, I respectfully request a varience of
your sign ordinance # 903.110. That there may be two separate sign
poles as we have had for so many years, this will enable me to keep
my changeable "reader board" which is so very iaportant to our firm.
Sincerely Yours,
Y.61'--
Glenn L. Kloskin, Pres.
PS. Please note that some of the original signs have been down sized.
r ro(L -rv.7 I i `'.e 4 h t., ilk' Qar aide be,
SAI FS.SFRVIE t ;FACTION SINCE 1960
