PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />FOR <br />PARKING AREA SEAL COATING <br />City of Little Canada Park Commission <br />515 E. Little Canada Road <br />Little Canada, Minnesota 55117 <br />INVITATION TO BID <br />The City of Little Canada Park Commission requests an <br />informal bid for the work as described herein at <br />Spooner Park located adjacent to the Little Canada <br />Elementary School at Centerville Road and Eli Road <br />in Little Canada. <br />Bids shall be submitted by Tuesday, September 7, 1982. <br />WORK INCLUDED <br />The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment and <br />materials necessary to accomplish the seal coating of <br />two parking areas as shown on the attached drawings, <br />located along Eli Road in Spooner Park. The work shall <br />include clean -up and guaranty of all work. <br />The Contractor shall carefully examine the site and <br />familiarize himself with the work to be done :id all <br />existing conditions prior to bidding. No extra compen- <br />sation will be allowed for conditions that are readily <br />apparent from careful examination of the lots. <br />SEAL COATING <br />The existing asphalt surfaces shall be thoroughly cleaned <br />of all objectionable material and prepared as necessary <br />for the seal coat. Any areas that require patching should <br />be brought to the owners attention. Emulsified asphalt <br />tack material, CRS -2, shall be applied to all surface areas <br />where aggregate is exposed in accordance with Section 2357 <br />in the MnDdt specifications. <br />Aggregate shall conform to MnDot specification FA -2 and <br />be applied at a rate of 15 -20 pounds per square yard. <br />Emulsified asphalt shall be CRS -2 and shall conform to the <br />requirements of section 3151 in the MnDot specifications. <br />The liquid shall be applied at a rate of .15 to .25 gallons <br />per square yard. Temperature of liquid at time of application <br />shall be 125 degrees to 175 degrees F. <br />J <br />
