soon as practical to such areas designated and requested by the <br />residents of the City. <br />1.2) All portions of the City of Little Canada shall be desig- <br />nated on a map and attached or on file at the City Office. A copy <br />shall be supplied to the Fire Department. <br />1.3) Fire Department agrees to furnish the fire service pro- <br />tection, equipment, and personnel and such other services as re- <br />quested by the residents of the City to the said designated areas <br />in the City, for the consideration set forth below, and agrees that <br />its firemen will make every reasonable effort to attend all fires <br />in said designated areas when notified of such fires, provided, <br />however, in the event the fire fighting equipment or some part <br />thereof with attending personnel is engaged in fighting fires or in <br />response to emergency calls within the City of Little Canada or pur- <br />suant to mutual aid agreements with other communities, said fire <br />department will respond to the call as soon as practical and the <br />judgment of the Fire Chief, Officer -in- Charge of the Fire Depart- <br />ment shall be final; provided, further, that road and weather con- <br />ditions are such that the fire run can be made with reasonable <br />safety to the men and equipment of said fire department. <br />1.4) The Fire Department further agrees that it will cooperate <br />with any other fire department that the City contracts with for <br />mutual fire protection. <br />ARTICLE 2 <br />TERM AND RENEWABILITY <br />2.1) The duration of this contract shall be from January 1, <br />-2- 49 <br />
