Recreation System in Little Canada <br />Page Two <br />*Directors - <br />Currently our recreation programs are either in -house or conducted <br />with the Maplewood system. Our directors meet periodically with the <br />various area directors in Maplewood. The L.C.R.A. Board of Directors <br />meets as needed with the Maplewood Athletic Association. This <br />cooperative effort has assured smooth operation for us as a <br />neighboring system. <br />* *Registration Fees - <br />The L.C.R.A. has always maintained a policy of keeping the cost of <br />registration low so that every child has a chance to participate. <br />It has from time to time contributed to some families' costs to achieve <br />this goal. Currently the registration fee is $5.00 for each sport <br />($8.00 non - resident) with the exception of hockey ice -time, which <br />the participant must pay. Other cities' registration fees are <br />usually $10 -$15 per sport, which covers more of the program costs. <br />The sharing of costs between the city of Little Canada and the <br />L.C.R.A. has enabled us to keep our fees affordable. <br />** *Program Operation Costs - <br />Disbursement of program operation funds is determined by money in <br />the treasury of L.C.R.A. at the time. The decision is made by the <br />President and /or Treasurer of L.C.R.A. upon request of the city <br />Recreation Director. <br />* * * *L.C.R.A.
