Planning Commission Minutes <br />February 4, 1982 <br />Page 2 <br />LITTLE CANADA <br />MALL: <br />Norm Erode, an attorney for Viking Partnership appeared. <br />Erving Marydais, Teddy Wong, Standard Real Estate, Inc. <br />and Marian Newman would be owners of the Mall, MGM would <br />be leasing the area. The building will be located far <br />enough away from a school. The building will be brown <br />like. The signage will be facing Minnesota Ave. and <br />another one facing Viking Dr. - 100 sq. ft. on each <br />sign facing Minnesota Ave. & Viking Dr. Mr. Erode had <br />said the Viking partnership is working on a new plat. <br />Mr. Erode brought the idea of a possible north -south <br />street running across Viking partnership land. This <br />would run between Minnesota Ave. and Viking Drive. Mr. <br />.Erode said he is going to proceed with a new plat, and if <br />the road situation is not resolved would go ahead with a <br />part of the building with just the MGM store being con- <br />structed. Lots 51, 1, 2, 3, 4 would be used for this <br />MGM building. Sharon Timmons suggested that the Plan- <br />ning Commission receive information on the traffic <br />situation around Minnesota Ave. and Rice St. <br />A motion was made by LeRoy LeMay to approve the prelim- <br />inary plat of the Little Canada Mall to the Viking <br />Partnership. <br />Motion seconded by Gene DeLonais <br />Motion approved 8 -0. <br />GLEN VANGUILDER Glen Van Guilder appeared proposing a lot split at 475 <br />Lot Split Viking Drive. Tom DuCharme suggested we table this <br />matter until the next meeting. He informed the Commis- <br />sion it was put on the agenda on Monday, February 1, <br />1982. <br />Gene DeLonais made a motion to recommend approval of <br />the lot split on approval of the Planner. <br />Sharon Timmons seconded the motion. <br />Approved 7 -1 <br />Gene DeLonais made a motion to approve the recommenda- <br />tion of a variance for two driveways. <br />Myers Frattalone seconded the motion. <br />Motion not carried 4 -4. <br />2 <br />
