The requirement for a longer cul -de -sac shall <br />not be applied solely because a subdivider wishes to increase lot count in a <br />subdivision. <br />This change is intended to facilitate subdivision design that accounts for long -term <br />development and land use objectives that may not meet the strict application of a <br />variance analysis, but nonetheless make sense for the specific situation in question. <br />Apart from findings as mentioned in the text, the standard cul -de -sac length would <br />remain at 500 feet. <br />Summary and Recommendation <br />Staff recommends approval of the amendment as presented.
