As you are aware, the Contractor for the project is Lametti <br />& Sons, Inc. The total amount earned by the Contractor on this partial pay estimate is <br />$409,447.45. Subtracting 5% retainage of $20,472.37 and previous payments of <br />$272,838.10, the amount due the Contractor is $116,136.98. <br />During the lining process it was discovered that there were some bends in the existing <br />48" sanitary line that required small bends be installed in the 12" sanitary sewer line. <br />These bends had to be specially ordered from the manufacturer. It was also decided <br />that the existing pipes north of Keller Parkway should be potholed to determine their <br />exact location and direction so that the new concrete manhole structures could be built <br />correctly. Change Order #1 is for the payment of that work along with providing an <br />extension of the contract time due to difficulties due to the groundwater encountered and <br />is included in this packet for approval by the City Council. <br />This pay estimate includes payment for the completion of the slip lining of the new 12" <br />pipe within the 48" pipe, service connections, and the installation of the 15" PVC sewer <br />by direct bury east of Edgerton Street. The payment also includes the payment of <br />Change Order #1, which was for additional work required by the conditions in the field. <br />We have inspected the work performed by Lametti & Sons and find it to be in <br />compliance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents.
