Mayor Blesener opened the Public Hearing to consider adoption of Che <br />2006-07 - assessment for Improvement No. 2006-07, LaBore Road from <br />LAHORE Centerville Road to Desoto Street by mill and overlay of bituminous <br />ROAD face. <br />The City Engineer reviewed the project costs noting that the feasibility <br />study estimated total projecC costs at $93,675.78 and estimated assessable <br />costs at $46,837.89. Estimated actual costs for the total project are <br />$57,597.95 and estimated actual assessable costs are $28,798.98. <br />The Engineer reviewed the City's commercial assessment policy noting <br />that street rehabilitation costs are assessed at 50%, which includes the cost <br />of curb and gutter repair. Storm sewer rehabilitation costs are noC <br />assessed. <br />Assessment payment methods were reviewed, noting Chat property owners <br />can pay their assessment in full or in part aC the City within 30 days of <br />adoption with no interest being added. After the 30 day time period, <br />remaining assessment balances are certified to Ramsey County for <br />collection with property taxes. Assessment balances will be spread for <br />
