NORTHWEST ASSOCIATED CONSULTANTS INC. <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Little Canada Planning Commission <br />FROM: James Vick <br />DATE: 29 August 1983 <br />RE: Speedy Market Sign Plan <br />FILE NO: 758.09 - 83.35 <br />A sign plan has been submitted for Speedy Market located at Rice Street <br />and County Road C. One wall sign and one freestanding sign are proposed. <br />In the B -3 district, both of the above signs are allowed under the follow- <br />ing conditions: <br />Wall Sign - Maximum area to be 15% of the front building <br />. facade <br />Freestanding <br />Sign - <br />Maximum area 100 square feet <br />Maximum height 22 feet <br />Located at least 5 feet from the property line <br />The proposed signs are designed to the following specifications: <br />Wall Sign - <br />Freestanding <br />Sign - <br />This sign is to be 24' x 4' for a total area of <br />96 square feet. The front building facade is 795 square <br />feet. 96 square feet is only 12% of 795 and therefore <br />in conformance with the Ordinance. <br />The freestanding sign includes a trademark sign <br />and a price sign for a total of 58.5 square feet. <br />The height of the sign is 19'9 ". The proposed sign <br />will use the existing pylon which is located 5 feet <br />from the north property line and 10 feet from the <br />west property line. <br />Both signs are in conformance with the Little Canada Sign Ordinance.
