September 15, 1983 <br />Dear Local Official: <br />The Governor's Blue- Ribbon Citizens Commission to review the Metropolitan Waste <br />Control Commission has recently received funding through the Governor's office <br />for a staff person to continue its investigation into the organization, <br />administration and decision- making process of the MWCC. <br />The Citizens Commission intends, in December, to issue a report to the <br />Governor containing the findings and recommendations that result from its <br />investigation. <br />As part of the review process, we are soliciting comments from all those <br />municipalities and counties who use the MWCC sewage treatment facilities and <br />are affected by MWCC operations. The Citizens Commission would appreciate <br />your comments regarding MWCC interaction with your governmental unit, whether <br />your needs are being met by existing MWCC operations, and suggestions as to <br />what might be changed or improved, if you feel changes are necessary. <br />It would be extremely useful to us if you would provide written comments and <br />suggestions to the Citizens Commission at the following address within the <br />next three weeks: <br />Karen L.
