PARK COMMISSION <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />515 Little Canada Rd. <br />Little Canada, MN 55117 <br />April 28, 1983 <br />The regular meeting of the Park Commission of the City of Little <br />Canada was held on the 28th day of April, 1983 at 515 Little <br />Canada Rd. in said city. <br />The following members were present: Carl Spooner, Dan Drake, <br />Elaine Zoch, Bev Scalze and Don Gagne representing the <br />Historical Society of Little Canada. <br />Don Gagne informed the commission that the Historical Society <br />will meet May 19 and will discuss the proposed Gervais Mill <br />Park. He indicated that the State Historical Society will <br />participate in planning of the monument which will be provided <br />by the Historical Society of Little Canada. Bev Scalze will <br />provide maps of the park for the May 19 meeting. <br />The puppet wagon of Maplewood has been contacted by Lois <br />Runyon. There is no word yet as to times until they finish <br />interviewing prospective employees for the year. <br />Lois Runyon has been unable to contact the Roseville Community <br />Band for concerts in the park. <br />Bev Scalze presented plans for the Schreier development on <br />County Road C., and relayed comments of the neighbors regarding <br />their desire for a park in the area. Various proposals were <br />discussed regarding the park charge. Motion was made by Carl <br />Spooner and seconded by Dan Drake to recommend to the council <br />to require cash in lieu of land according to the ordinance <br />and investigate the possibility of buying other properties in <br />the area. Motion Passed.
