ORDINANCE NO. <br />211 <br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING CHAPTER 209, RELATING TO CITY PERSONNEL, <br />TO THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA. <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE CANADA HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. <br />Chapter 209 of the Municipal Code of the City of Little Canada is hereby <br />added to read as follows: <br />209. PERSONNEL ORDINANCE <br />209.010. Definitions. <br />As used in this Chapter, the following terms shall have the respective <br />means ascribed to them: <br />Regular Employee: An employee who has satisfactorily completed the initial <br />probationary period and who has been appointed to serve on a regular full time <br />basis. <br />Permanent Part Time Employee: An employee who has successfully completed the <br />required probationary period and is employed on a schedule of less than forty <br />(40) hours per week. <br />Temporary Employee: An employee who does not serve a probationary period, and <br />shall include any person who is engaged in temporary, part time, seasonal, or <br />student employment, and who is compensated on an hourly or monthly basis. <br />Work Period: A seven (7) day period of time beginning on Monday and <br />terminating on Sunday, during which a regular employee is normally scheduled <br />to work forty (40) hours. <br />Employee: Any employee of the City subject to the terms of this ordinance <br />unless the context in which the word appears requires a different meaning. <br />209.020. Purpose of Chapter. <br />It shall be the purpose of the ordinance to establish a uniform and <br />equitable system of municipal personnel administration for the City, to be <br />applicable to all employees of the City, except where the City shall otherwise <br />hereafter provide, or unless modified by a separate agreement. <br />209.030. Exempt Positions. <br />All offices and positions in the City government, now existing or <br />herea -fter created, shall be subject to the policies <br />lo <br />
