NORTHWEST ASSOCIATED CONSULTANTS INC. <br />MEMORANDUM <br />T0: Little Canada Mgye d City Council <br />FROM: David Licht °�/ <br />DATE: 6 June 1983 <br />RE: Zoning /Subdivision Ordinance Revision <br />FILE NO: 758.09 <br />On 6 June during staff hours I met with Mr. Carl Buechler relative to <br />the potential split of a twin home for the purpose of sale to the tenants. <br />As you are aware, the Zoning and Subdivision Ordinances at present make <br />no provision for zero lot line splits of twin homes, quads or townhouses <br />except by a Planned Unit Development. It has been our experience that the <br />split of existing twin units is becoming a more frequently requested <br />situation. In view of the City of Little Canada's policy on owner <br />occupied units, we would also see such provisions as meeting the goals <br />and objectives of the Comprehensive Plan. <br />It is my understanding that Mr. Buechler will be submitting a petition <br />and letter requesting that the City Council initiate action on ordinance <br />amendments which will facilitate twin home property divisions.
