Cedar Lake Road • Minneapolis Mn. 55426 • (612)933 -8887 January 19, 1983 Mr. Joseph Chlebeck City of Little Canada 515 East Little Canada Road Little Canada, MN 55117 RE: Application for license for "The Silver Ball Too" Ltd. to be located at the Little Canada Shopping Mali. Dear Mr. Chlebeck: Our proposal is to operate a Family Amusement Center at the Little Canada Shopping Mali in the city of Little Canada. This business would consist of approximately 50 electronic amusement devices, foosball, pool tables, and vending machines to dispense soft drinks and candy. The center would attract a clientele of all ages - families and adults. Full time adult supervision would be provided by an on -duty manager from opening to closing, as well as by the employees who will be 18 years of age or older. There will be no smoking in the Center and the employees will enforce all rules of conduct for patrons including no loitering, no smoking., and controlling the outside area and its cleanliness. Currently in operation are three such.Family Amusement Centers, one just open in Downtown at 10th and Hennepin, and the others at Dinkytown and the Knollwood Village Shopping Center in St. Louis Park. These "Silver Bali Too" locations have been open for some months and have been without incident since their openings. Granting this license would mean immediate utilization of empty space. Utilizing this space entails expenditure of money to improve the area, the creation of five or more positions for employees and generation of revenue for the city and state through the payment of local license fees and sales taxes. let me again stress that it is our intent to adhere to the ordinance and all of its provisions. This promise can be ensured by the fact that this license is on an annually renewable basis and would be subject to the review process before renewal of the existing license could be granted.
