PARK COMMISSION
CITY OF LITTLE CANADA
515 LITTLE CANADA ROAD
LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA
Saturday, April 9, 1983
Little Canada Park Commission Meeting
The meeting was called to order by acting Chairman, Bill Sanders at the
Little Canada City Center at 10:00 a.m.
Members present: Dan Drake, Nick Kent, Jim Morelan, Bill Sanders,
Bev Scalze
Members absent: Lois Runyon, Carl Spooner, Elaine Zach
The main purpose of this meeting was to discuss the construction of a black-
top walk path linking Spooner Park with the recently purchased "Mostad
Property" behind the City Center.
After the members inspected the possible sites and location, it was de-
cided that the most desirable location for such trail would be on the
north side of Gervais Creek because of the more natural terrain and ex-
isting dirt trail.
It was then decided to talk to the present land owners to get their input
on the project. Jim Morelan will first talk to Bernie Nadeau, and then
the owners will be contacted.
It was also decided to request the Council to wait until this matter is
decided on before finalizing the agreement and park land dedication status
with Gervais Creek Office Park.
The meeting adjourned at 11:35 a.m.
Submitted by,
Jim Morelan
Acting Secretary
The next meeting will be on Thursday, April 28, 1983 at 7:30 p.m.
