No. 6508
Little Canada Road over I -35E
779 -1100
(612) XflX i(
Dear Mr. Chlebeck:
District Nine is presently doing a preliminary study of the I -35E/
Little Canada Road interchange. The investigation is not yet complete;
however, it is anticipated that the project that may be proposed could
include the following elements:
1. Replacing the bridge deck;
2. Widening the structure to provide for left turn lanes;
3. Revision of the ramp terminals and the adjacent street intersections -
County Drive and Centerville Road (under Ramsey County - authority); and
4. Traffic signal revisions.
This bridge is not presently in the 1984 -1987 bridge improvement program.
With the anticipated increase in revenues generated by the State gas tax,
and with an equitable shy. ;ing of costs between the City, County, and State,
advancement of the project may be more optimistic.
When our preliminary study is complete, we will arrange to meet with the
City of Little Canada and Ramsey County.
Sincerely,
Kermit K.
