County Road B2 Roseville, Minnesota 55113 MAYOR Raymond Hanson COUNCIL Michael Fahey Beverly Scalze Dennis Forsberg Mugs Nardini Dear Dr. Parsons: In our regular review of park and Recreation facilities in our Community, the Little Canada Park Commission has been discussing the possibility of pur- chasing land owned by the School District. The four ball fields located on the south side of Little Canada School is one area of concern, and the proper- ty west of Little Canada School, known as Spooner Park is the other. Both of these facilities are at the present time being maintained by the City of Little Canada, and Spooner Park was constructed in its entirety in 1975 by the City of Little Canada. It is our primary concern that our Community does not own a major area of land for either ball Fields or a park that we can be assured of in the years to come. We have enjoyed a very good relationship with the School District concerning the use of these facilities for the residents of our Community in the past. However, we feel that our people would like to have the assurance of knowing that these facilities will also be here for the enjoyment of their children and grandchildren as well. In these times of declining enrollment in our School District, and the uncertainty of not knowing the School Board's thoughts c., open Land and school closings, we would like the School Board to consider our suggestions of land purchase.
