The City of Roseville is happy that arrangements <br />are proceeding to install this facility and to be able to coop- <br />erate with your city, as well as with the Minnesota Department <br />of Transportation, in having this occur as soon as possible. <br />The Roseville City Council has acted to approve partial funding <br />of this project in the amount of 10% of the construction con- <br />tract on the condition that it not exceed $4,000.00. It is my <br />understanding that the State would provide a considerable amount <br />of the hardware for the controller and box, signal heads, etc. <br />They would also be providing the engineering skills for the de- <br />sign, contract and specifications, preparation and inspection of <br />the project. Following completion, they would perform the main- <br />tenance of the signal, as necessary. <br />The City of Little Canada would be providing the remainder of the <br />cost for the installation and the power to operate this facility <br />and lighting. Your organization would also assume the responsi- <br />bility for the awarding of the contract and administering the con- <br />tract payments. <br />On the assumption that the above is correct and that when the plans <br />are completed, that we would have the opportunity to review and ap- <br />prove them. Roseville hereby authorizes you to proceed with the pro- <br />ject and we will submit our share of the funding to you upon being <br />presented a copy of the final billing from the contractor. <br />If you have any questions concerning the above, or feel that any of <br />the information is incorrect, please contact me as soon as possible <br />so that we can resolve the matter.
