MINUTES <br />Planning Commission <br />November 10, 1988 <br />Garbage Herkenhoff pointed out that the City has to develop a plan, otherwise the <br />Collection County will do so for the City. <br />(Cont.) <br />The Planner pointed out that this is an initial step in the recycling <br />effort. The Planner felt that organized collection will keep rates low, <br />since there will be a high level of competition among garbage collectors <br />for routes. <br />Text The City Planner submitted a proposed text amendment which deletes the <br />Amendment lot coverage requirement in the I -P District. The Planner reported that <br />Lot he studied different uses of a basic -sized lot, and with landscaping <br />Coverage requirements and parking requirements, very few uses could exceed the <br />In I -P 35% lot coverage limitation in the current ordinance. The Council felt <br />District comfortable with those uses that could exceed the 35% limitation. <br />Costa recommended that the proposed text amendment deleting Section <br />918.050.E Lot Coverage in an I -P District be adopted. <br />Motion seconded by Costa. <br />Motion carried 4 - 0. <br />Adjourn <br />Herkenhoff recommended that the meeting be adjourned. <br />Motion seconded by Costa. <br />Motion carried 4 - 0. <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:00 P.M. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />athy G1rj'zer <br />Recordin Secretary <br />Page 11 <br />
