Licht
DATE: 11 July 1988
RE: Little Canada - St. Johns Church Convent Rezoning
FILE NO: 758.09 - 88.42
EXECUTIVE °UMMAR
Based on the surrounding zoning and intended land uses for
this area in general, our office would recommend approval of
the rezoning request from P, Public to R -B, Residential
business to allow the conversion of the St. John's convent
into a transient (temporary) housing facility for refugee
families.
Should the City approve of the rezoning request, our office
would recommend the following provisions govern the proposed
use
1. The person(s) living at this site at any one time
qualify as a "family" as defined by the Zoning
Ordinance.
2. The structure is inspected and approved for habitat by
the City Building Inspector.
3. Per City fire code, a limit of 10 persons may occupy
the structure at any one time.
4. All other comments from City Staff, City Attorney, City
Building Official and City Engineer.
Page 11
4P--)n miry rm n t-em
