Sanders and Associates Inc., e: 365 East Kellogg Boulevard
September 13, 1988
Bev Scalze
City of Little Canada
515 East Little Canada Road
Little Canada, MN 55117
Dear Bev,
St., Paul, MN • 55101 •(612) .221- 0401
This to to request City Council authorization to receive informal bids on the
following projects:
Concrete Work /Spooner Park Picnic Shelters
There is a need to expand the paved area around each picnic shelter where the
heavy use makes it impossible to maintain grass. The concrete area is proposed
to be expanded approx. 6 ft. on each side. The project is estimated to cost
approximately $1,500.00
Landscape Plantings for Gervais Mill, Spooner Park and Aspen Circle
The proposed project includes shrub planting at Gervais Mill Park, which will
be a continuation of the plantings that were previously installed on the slope
adjacent to the trail. This planting will help control erosion and reduce the need
for mowing and other maintenance.
The proposed plantings at Spooner Park will be primarily on the slope on the
north side of the existing trail that follows Gervais Creek. The plantings will
be selected to attract wildlife and provide seasonal interest for the trail users.
The proposed plantings at Aspen Circle will be to complete the hedge on each
side of the trail connection going from Aspen Circle to the parks and ponding
area.
The landscape plantings are estimated to cost approximately $8,500.00.
The above projected are funded in the 1988 budget.
