Velin, Chief Clerk - County Board <br />Watershed District nominations <br />This is a reminder that municipalities have a unique opportunity in <br />the selection of watershed district board members, by virtue of the <br />state law requirement that the County Board must select appointees from <br />a list submitted by the municipalities of the district. The opportunity <br />is limited, however, by the fact that your recommendations must be <br />received by the County at least 60 days in advance of the appointment <br />expiration date. <br />The appointment of Dean H. Hedlund, 655 Keller Parkway, Little <br />Canada, MN 55117, (completing the term from which C. Drake resigned) to <br />the Ramsey /Washington Metro watershed District Board will expire <br />February 23, 1989. The deadline for the exclusive municipal option on <br />the appointment, as described above, is December 23, 1988. <br />I have enclosed a copy of the County application form for your use <br />in recruiting. Please feel free to duplicate it as needed. Each <br />application should include the name of the applicable watershed <br />district. Further information on the nature of the duties involved may <br />be obtained from the watershed district office. <br />Preliminary advance notice of this appointment has been mailed to <br />over 75 groups and individuals. Closer to the appointment time a <br />specific news release will be issued.
