Chlebeck <br />FROM: John Palacio <br />DATE: April 11, 1988 <br />RE: Little Canada Ryan Industrial Park <br />180 Ryan Drive <br />Inspection Conducted on April 8, 1988 <br />The building was built during the first quarter of 1979. <br />The present occupant of the building is Safety Kleen <br />Corporation. It is my understanding that a car repair <br />business will be applying for a license in the near future <br />for the use of this building. My recommendations for <br />Safety Kleen Corporation are: <br />*remove all hazardous materials; <br />*remove all tanks in and around the building; <br />*remove all debris within the property limits; <br />*remove all platforms and framing materials; and <br />*clean traps, and floor drains. <br />My recommendations for the future car repair business are: <br />*install a flammable waste trap; <br />*if any painting is to be done within the building, <br />install a spray booth in accordance with the Fire Code <br />fully ventilated and sprinkled; <br />*install portable fire extinguishers as needed <br />throughout the building; and <br />*provide plans and drawings to be reviewed by City <br />Planner and City Council. <br />JP:kv <br />Enclosure <br />cc: Mayor and City Council <br />Page 2 <br />MAYOR <br />Michael Fahey <br />COUNCIL <br />Beverly Scalze <br />Bill Biesener <br />Rick Collova <br />Jim LaValle <br />
