Among the other Ramsey County communica- <br />tion surveyed, allowable areas ranged from 80 square feet (Vadnais Heights) <br />to 200 square feet (Maplewood). The Little Canada Ordinance allows 200 <br />square feet maximum. <br />Sign areas for the other Metro communities showed a similar range. For <br />Industrial uses, sizes ranged from 80 square feet (Edina and Eden Prairie) <br />to 200 square feet (Burnsville and Minnetonka. There was very little <br />difference between commercial and industrial areas. Almost all communities <br />indicated that it was very difficult to obtain variances for signs. <br />Page 53 <br />
