WHEREAS, the major issue is to provide sufficient funds to meet the needs <br />of the total transportation system within the State of Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS, the Transportation Finance Study Commission has made <br />recommendations to provide additional funding. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF <br />that the city strongly endorses the State Legislature providing additional <br />funding for transportation; and <br />FURTHER, since the Transportation Finance Study Commission recommendations <br />will provide such additional funding, the State Legislature is encouraged to <br />consider adoption of their recommendations as outlined in the Transportation <br />Finance Study Commission's working draft document dated January 7, 1988. <br />PASSED by the city council of this <br />day of , 1988. <br />Page 59 <br />
