CHLEBECK, Clerk
515 Little Canada Road
Little Canada, Minn. 55117
484 -2177
CITY OF LITTLE CANADA
RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA
MEMORANDUM
TO: Joseph G. Chlebeck
FROM: John Palacio
DATE: April 22, 1988
RE: Ryan Industrial Park
3176 Spruce Street, A and B
Inspection was conducted during the past week of
April 18 -22, 1988. Presently a portion of the building is
being occupied by Benchmark Auto which is a body shop.
This location has had two inspections, one dated
January 13, 1983 and the other dated January 13, 1984.
Both inspections indicate deficiencies as follows:
1. Spray painting room shall be designed in
accordance to the Uniform Fire Code (UFC) Article
45 (construction /sprinklers).
2. Storage rooms for paints UFC Article 79.203.
To this date, none of these infractions have been taken
care of.
Mr, Steve Carlson from Benchmark Auto has been made aware
of these infractions, and I trust that he will comply
without any further actions.
MAYOR
Micheal Rehay
COUNCIL
Beverly Scalze
Bill Bleaener
Rick Callove
Jim LaValle
As mentioned before, 3176 has been separated into two
portions, Portion B - Benchmark Auto and Portion A - Mr.
Ray Holbrook. Mr. Holbrook has applied for an auto repair
business license. My recommendations are that the building
should be brought up to Code compliance, and:
*Any painting that is being done within the building
shall be done in a spray booth in accordance with the
UFC, fully ventilated and sprinkled;
*Install portable fire extinguishers as needed
throughout the building;
PAGE -1-
