MEMORANDUM TO: FROM: DATE: RE: FILE NO: Little Canada Planning Commission David Licht 28 August 1984 Little Canada - R &S Automotive 758.09 - 84.21 SEP 5 1984 CITY OF LITTLE CANADA At the City Council meeting on 22 August, the Commission's recommendation on R &S was questioned relative to fully taking into account the acceptability of having an auto salvage yard at the location in question. The Commission was asked to more fully address this issue and respond to the general criteria in determining conditional use permits. The ordinance provisions in this regard are: Section 921.010.C: The Planning Commission shall consider possible adverse affects to the proposed amendment or conditional use. Its judgement shall be based upon (but not limited to) the following factors: 1. The proposed action has been considered in relation to the specific policies and provisions of and has been found to be consistent with the official City Comprehensive Land Use Plan. 2. The proposed site is or will be compatible with present and future land uses of the area. 3. The proposed use conforms with all herein. 4. The proposed use will not tend to in which it is proposed. 5. The proposed use can be accommodated with existing public services and will not overburden the City's service capacity.
