NORTHWEST ASSOCIATED CONSULTANTS INC.
MEMORANDUM
TO: David Licht
FROM: James Vick
DATE: 27 August 1984
RE: Little Canada Zoning Ordinance
FILE N0: 758.09 - General
While reviewing the Flameburger, it has come to my attention that there is
very little information regulating dumpster location, screening, etc. within
the Little Canada Zoning Ordinance. I then paged through a few other ordinances
only to find the same situation. It is my opinion that due to health reasons
as well as the unsightly nature of the dumpster, more specific standards are
needed to regulate location and screening of trash bins.
A case in point is the 7 -11 store at Rice Street and Demont. There are a
half -dozen or so trash dumpsters lined up along the driveway. I believe they
are for recycling. Nevertheless, the location of these unsightly bins is in
full view of the street, neighboring properties, etc. Is there any way we
can tighten up on these regulations?
Please advise at your earliest convenience.
2 (.
4820 minnetonka boulevard, suite 420 minneapolis, mn 55416 612/925 -9420
