METROPOLITAN COUNCIL <br />300 Metro Square Building, Saint Paul, Minnesota 55101 <br />October 19, 1984 <br />MEMORANDUM <br />TO: Lake Overflow Technical Advisory Committee <br />FROM: Ray Leek <br />SUBJECT: Final Recommendations to Mayors' Task Force on Lake Overflow <br />Enclosed is the final draft of the committee's recommendations to the mayors. <br />As you recall, the Mayors' Task Force said they didn't want to meet again; <br />rather they want only to "sign off" on the final recommendations. Thus, our <br />responsibility as committee members at this time is to take the recommenda- <br />tions before our respective councils for approval. To help you with that <br />effort, I have drafted a model resolution for acceptance of the recommenda- <br />tions that is also enclosed. You may use it or not use it as you see fit; <br />its purpose is to provide you with a guideline for your council's action. <br />I believe it is important to get approval of the recommendations as quickly as <br />possible so that implementation can proceed. Toward that end, the Metropolitan <br />Council's Systems Committee will be discussing them at this meeting next <br />Monday. I hope you will be able to schedule the item on your council agendas <br />soon. <br />Please keep me informed of your progress in getting approval.
