BUDGET AUTO SALES
2650 Rice Street
St.Paul, Minnesota
(612) 482 -9269
12 -19 -84
To: Members of the Planning Commission and the City Council
From: Richard Fritz, Partner and General Manager Budget Auto Sales
Purpose: To clarify our position in operating our business as an
Used Auto Dealership known as Budget Auto Sales and
located at 2650 rice St., Little Canada, Mn. 55113
1. When we applied for our license to operate the business as stated
above, we presented the enclosed list of conditions(exhibit A).
These were given to the City of Little Canada and we received a
license to operate a business as such. This was in March 1983.
2. We received a letter this Fall about having too many automobiles on
the lot. We were not sure what was meant by this as we thought we
received a license for the list that we presented.(30 autos). We
had not seen this other list of things before this time (exhibit B).
3. Later (e):hibit 0) we received another letter stating that we must
comply with the list of things that were applied for by one Joe
Murphy in 1976 ...and not by 'our' list turned in and that we
thought that we had received our license for. We have been in
business for nearly two years at this location.
So that the records can be set straight we will again let our wishes
be known and would request that these receive your immediate
approval so that we can continue our efforts to operate a high
quality business, employeeing people, and continue to serve our
community in a way that is beneficial to both the City of Little
Canada and to us.
A. We would like the approval of having 15 to 20 autombbiles on
display knowing at times that when we receive the automobiles
we could have as many as but no more than thirty (30) and at
other tunes it may be as low as five to ten, but averaging
fifteen to twenty (15 -20) over a period of time. (exhibit D).
B. The 30' right of way and easements brought to our attention
by Mr Nagovsky will be strictly attended to. (exhibit E).
There will be no major repairs on automobiles as our past
records will attest to, and
The Automobile lot will continue to be kept neat and clean
with the grass trimmed, papers picked up, and the using of
flags or banners only to be used on special occassions, but
not oftener than three times yearly and only for afew days.
Respectfully submitted,
E'1/4- l. z r 0 0 0
C.
D.
