July 10, 1984
City Clerk
Mr. Joseph Chlebeck
City of Little Canada
Little Canada, MN.
Dear Mr. Chlebeck:
Our neighbor, Mr. Emil Behr, asked us last evening if we
objected to his starting a business in his home. As he has been
doing this for some time and has created a noisy eyesore, we
told him we certainly did object. Our n.eighborhood is residential
and if Mr. Behr wishes to start a business for his sons it
should be in a Commercial area and not a residential neighborhood.
Not only does he have a fork lift and Lawn mowers all over the
back yard, he conducts business at any time he chooses. When I
drove past this Sunday after 7:30 AM Mass they were in the front
yard selling or buying a refrigerator. Try to relax in your
back yard with Mr. Behr demonstrating garden tractors on a Sunday
afternoon. It is impossible. Cars, trucks and trailers are parked
in front making it difficult at times to get past the curve on Noel.
We recently had three reactors evaluate our home and bacause of
the blight, partly caused by Mr. Behrs business, were advised we
could not obtain market value for our home.
When Mr. Behr raised his family on Noel Drive he was able to
do so in a relatively ru'i_et resicientiai area and we uish the same
opaortunity our. family.
L:lairi i6
2737 Noel Dr.
2C
Jut 10 1984
CITY OF
LITTLE CANADA
