June 27, 1984 Mr. Emil Behr 2717 Noel Drive Little Canada, Minnesota 55117 Dear Mr. Behr: The City Code Enforcement Officer has received several complaints from community residents regarding the selling of garden tractors and other equipment at your residence at 2717 Noel Drive. Your property is zoned R -1, Single Family Residential. Your commercial operation is not permitted in this zoning district and as such is in violation of the Little Canada Zoning Ordinance. In a meeting with you on June 18, 1984, we discussed your commercial opera- tion in regard to getting a special home occupation permit. While I indi- cated your commercial use extended beyond the intent of the home occupation provisions of the Little Canada Ordinance, you stated that you would still pursue the home occupation permit from the City Council. As of yet, the City has not received an application from you for a special home occupation. Currently, the commercial use on your property illegally exists. With this letter the City is informing you that you have twenty (20) days to bring your property into compliance with the City Ordinance, either through the termination of the commercial use or pursuit of the required permits. After the twenty (20) day period, the City shall initiate legal steps to bring your property into compliance with the City's Zoning Ordinance. Please understand that this is not an endorsement suggesting acceptance of the home occupation permit.
