MINUTES <br />City Council <br />May 10, 1984 <br />1 In 10 <br />(Cont.) <br />Westwinds <br />Filling <br />Centerville <br />Road Area <br />Adjourn <br />Mrs. Kingsbury stated that if the 1 in 10 provision were eliminated, <br />but mother -in -law apartments allowed by conditional use permit, every- <br />one would be treated equally. <br />Mr. Herkenhoff asked the cost of requesting a rezoning. The Planner <br />stated that the cost was $150, which is the same as for a conditional <br />use permit. <br />Mr. DeLonais recommended elimination of the 1 in 10 duplex provision <br />in an R -1 zone and allowing limited mother -in -law apartments by <br />conditional use permit. <br />Motion seconded by Mrs. Kingsbury. <br />Motion carried 6 - 0. <br />Marg Edgett appeared before the Commission and informed them that <br />Mr. Westlund is doing a lot of filling near her property at 3000 <br />Arcade Street. Mrs. Edgett was worried about the drainage of the <br />area. <br />The Planner stated that he would take a look at this tomorrow. <br />There was a gentleman present at the meeting who informed the Commission <br />that he would be bringing in a proposal for the development of the <br />Nadeau property off Centerville Road for office - warehousing. The <br />development would be in three phases, the first phase involving <br />the Nadeau property. <br />The Planner stated that the proposal looks positive as it involves <br />the putting together of a plan for the whole area. <br />Mr. Ducharme recommended that the meeting he adjourned. <br />Motion seconded by Mr. Perlinger. <br />Motion carried 6 - 0. <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:35 P.M. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />athtie 'c K <br />leen t,tanz>e <br />Recording Secretary <br />Page -10- <br />
