SSOCIATES, IN
Consulting Engineers —land Surveyor,
City Council
City of Little Canada
515 East Little Canada Road
St. Paul, IIN.
Dear Council Members:
500 West Highway 96
St. Paul, Minnesota 55112
484 -3301
June 8, 1984
Re: 1984 Improvements
We submitted the bid tabulation for bids received on the
1984 Improvements at the meeting May 23, 1984. On our
recommendation no award was made because:
A. The bids were over our estimate.
B. There were other loose ends to be resolved.
The project consists of four relatively small improvements.
The first is the LeMay Addition on Arcade Street. This
includes sewer, water and street. My last conversation
with Mr. LeMay was that he is anxious to proceed.
The second is Arcade Street involving mainly the property
of Frank Frattalone which is in Maplewood. This requires
an agreement similar to the Cub Foods agreement. This
requires the involvement of Mr. Voto and Mr. Sweeney.
The City Clerk has informed me that he will follow this up.
The third is Viking Drive. A letter was sent by the Clerk
to the affected owners. We are awaiting the replies.
The fourth is Gregg's Addition. This is actually a sewer
and water connection but does include a hydrant. This
was included in the improvements because it was felt
that a saving might be made. Gregg Johnson also had the
right to do the work independently. We have been unable -.
to contact him at this writing
., - -V Uni Vv 1
