!ASSOCIATES,
Consulting Engineers —Land Survgors
City Council
City of Little Canada
515 E. Little Canada Road
Little Canada, Minn. 55117
Dear Council Members:
500 West Highway 96
St. Paul, Minnesota 55112
484 -3301
July 6, 1984
RE: Ryan Industrial Park
On July 5, 1934 we met with Mr. Art Ryan to discuss the ponding area.
This was mainly to see the pipeline (which is exposed at the present
time) crossing the pond.
It is our recommendation that this small fill be permitted to provide
support for the pipeline as has already been in the process of filling
across the remainder of the industrial park.
It will also serve as access to the tower owned by N.S.P.
It was suggested that a pipe be placed through the fill so as to
connect the resulting two ponds. We now feel that a pipe is both
impractical and unnecessary.
There are at present tvo outlets between the pond and the ditch which
runs parallel and east of the pond.
This allows water to flow in either direction depending on the water
level in the pond and in the ditch.
We are presently taking field measurement to determine the storage
volume in the ponds and the level of the ditch. This will also include
the relationship with the Frattalone pond which is east of the ditch.
This information will be completed in the next two weeks.
Yours truly,
MILNE W.
