Breimhurst <br />Deputy Chief Administrator <br />Re: Little Canada Interceptor <br />Our File No. 5081 <br />Dear Mr. Ereimhurst: <br />iNPEX <br />Telephone <br />(612) 222 -2541 <br />Please be advised that the Little Canada City Council has <br />directed us tc investigate commencing litigation against the <br />Metropolitan Waste Control Commission to immediately stop the <br />discharge of untreated sewage and permanently enjoin the <br />Commission from pumping or allowing untreated sewage to flow from <br />the existing Little Canada interceptor, owned and maintained by <br />the MWCC. Specifically, Little Canada residents will not <br />tolerate the pumping of untreated sewage from the Gervais Lake <br />Lift Station, located on Edgerton Street, into Lake Gervais. The <br />release of untreated sewage from June 8, 1984, to the present, <br />from, the manhole located at Interstate 694 and State Trunk <br />Highway No. 61 into Ditch No. 17, and then into Lake Kohlman, <br />must be terminated immediately. <br />Would you please advise the City of Little Canada what steps <br />have been taken to guarantee that this illegal action relative to <br />the interceptor will not happen again.
